The Gospellers

Do you know or have you ever heard of "The Gospellers"?
I'll show you their full-length photograph.

Here they are.
I have a large number of their pictures in my cellular phone and preserve them with care.
Not only their pictures, but also their songs.
In my i-Pod, there are hundreds of songs in all, and at least a hundred out of those are their songs.
I often listen to their songs when I want to be healed or feel like sleeping, so at night is the most.
Their songs are mostly peaceful, an image of church is suitable for their place to sing.
I love their harmony, all of them have unique voices and are comfortable to listen to.

Please listen to the song below, which is called, "Towani."
It is frequently sang in wedding ceremony.
You might feel sad and painful, tears come out...

Winnie the Pooh

Today in my blog, I'll show you something secret...

Look at the picture below:

What do you think?
It is so cute, right!?

Haha...

This picture is the main screen of my cellular phone.
As you know...this is the picture of "Winnie the Pooh"!!
I have been using this picture for a year.

However, one of my friends said one day...

"What!? The Pooh is like a pig!! You like him!?"

...

I was too disappointed with my friend's comment.
It hurted me a lot.
I really love him!!
He is a cute, soft, lovely bear...
A bit fat, but...
That is his charm.

At the end...

"He is not a pig!!"

Baby drop off

In my today's blog, I would like to talk and think about "baby drop off."

Do you accurately know what it means?

It is an act of nursing abandonment that mothers leave their unwanted, usually newborn, babies in some respects, such as a locker room, toilet, or even in front of someones front door.

In recent years, in Japan, it has becoming a social problem and frequently being picked up on a news program.

In 2006, the Jikei Hospital in Kumamoto Prefecture set up the "Stork's Cradle," generally called, the "baby hatch," to reduce the number of abandoned babies and abortions.

What is the "baby hatch"?

It is a facility for mothers be able to bring their babies and leave them anonymously in a safe place to be found and cared for.

However, there are pros and cons arguments on this issue.

Letter One: The article written by who disapproves of baby hatch.

The author says that baby hatch is not the answer.
She tells her story of experience she has had which she has worked with children and families for more than twenty years. Additionally, she now works with adults, who are developmentally disabled, had bitter experiences in childhoods and overcame distress.
She asserts that even with the baby hatch, people will continue to abandon children.

Letter Two: The article written by who approves of baby hatch.

The author says that a baby hatch beats alternative.
He tells an event which has happened to a junior high school student and her boyfriend. They got a baby born, but it was abandoned and died because they were full of fear, panic, and had no choice, but to abandon it.
He appeals the possibility of if there had been a baby hatch facility, there would have existed an alternative and their baby might have saved. The baby hatch offers a chance of life to abandoned babies alive.

My response to this issue, I agree with the latter author.

I think the baby hatch is needed in order to save precious lives because babies are not guilty, simply innocent. They cannot choose their parents by themselves. Once they were born, they all have the right to be alive and no one cannot deprive their rights from them. Do not make light of lives, we only have one each and cannot get it back if we loose it.

If parents love their children, I am sure they will not abandon absolutely, or they do not want to part with their dear angels. Therefore, someone says that it is a nursing abandonment, of course it is, unless something serious comes up. There might be some people who have exceptional reasons they cannot raise their children, so to give them a hand, I think the baby hatch is needed to those who need real help.

The declining birth rate has become a big problem in Japan, and importance of life has been inquired. We should think about this issue deeply, earnestly, and deepen our understandings.

Sumo wrestling

In today's blog, I'll show you my hidden pleasure which you all might wonder why...

First of all, look at this picture below:

I got this photo from Nihon Sumo Kyokai Official Web Site.

Any way, do you know him?

It is a picture of
Hakuho, a Mongolian, a Yokozuna, the sixty-ninth grand champion sumo wrestler. I think you all saw the news when he became yokozuna, just few weeks ago. I hope you all know Asashoryu, he too the Mongolian, the yokozuna, is being in that position for about four and a half years. It was called, "The time of one Yokozuna" because actually, there must be two yokozuna in a grand sumo tournament, but there weren't.

Do you know what really sumo is like?
Let me explain it.

Sumo is a traditional Japanese combative sport like wrestling and considered a Japanese national sport. Rikishi, the wrestlers, have a topknot and wear a belt and make ritualistic movements on the ring. Professional sumo wrestlers compete in six grand tournaments held during the course of a year.

Did you get it?

I got interested in sumo when I was in a primary school. In fourth grade, I first had a sumo bout at a tournament called, "Wanpaku Sumo," and I won the tournament and became a yokozuna of that year. I took part in that tournament the following year too, and surprisingly, again became the yokozuna!! Probably, I had a talent of having a sumo bout...

If you still didn't get it, watch this for sure:

How was it?

Please watch a grand sumo tournament once and have some fun. You might get it more interesting than you expected!!
